MCINTOSH HIFI PRINT

A hand-drawn, digitally finished fine art print of the McIntosh MR78 tuner (1972-84), C32 preamplifier (1977-82) and MC2205 amplifier (1975-81).

This classic American system at the luxury end of the hifi market combined the distinctive black glass faceplates, illuminated green lettering and blue power meters that became synonymous with the McIntosh brand.

THE PROCESS

•  I start with a 1:2-scale pencil drawing
•  This is then inked in using pigment fineliners
•  The hand-drawn ink is scanned
•  Up to 300 layers of detail and colour are added digitally
•  Prints, professionally produced on satin-finish photopaper using archival ink, will be available from spring 2027
