JVC BOOMBOX PRINT

A hand-drawn, digitally finished fine art print of the JVC RC-M90. King of the Boomboxes, this Japanese icon combined powerful sound with unmistakable '80s styling.

Its in-your-face speakers and array of controls made it a standout example of portable audio design. And if it couldn't get any cooler, it was on the cover of the Beastie Boys' Solid Gold Hits.

THE PROCESS

•  I start with a 1:2-scale pencil drawing
•  This is then inked in using pigment fineliners
•  The hand-drawn ink is scanned
•  Up to 300 layers of detail and colour are added digitally
•  Prints, professionally produced on satin-finish photopaper using archival ink, will be available from spring 2027
