AIWA HIFI PRINT

A hand-drawn, digitally finished fine art print of the Aiwa SA-P80 amplifier, SA-C80 preamplifier, ST-R80 tuner and SD-L80 tape deck (all 1980-83).

This compact separates system with silver fascias, precise controls and restrained styling embodies early-’80s Japanese hifi at its finest. 

THE PROCESS

•  I start with a 1:2-scale pencil drawing
•  This is then inked in using pigment fineliners
•  The hand-drawn ink is scanned
•  Up to 300 layers of detail and colour are added digitally
•  Prints, professionally produced on satin-finish photopaper using archival ink, will be available from spring 2027
